Tidal Wave Auto Spa is one of the largest express (conveyor) car wash chains in the United States, operating more than 320 tunnel wash locations across 30 states. Founded in 1999 in Thomaston, Georgia by Scott and Hope Blackstock, it remains headquartered in Thomaston and is known for free-vacuum express washes and its Tidal Wave Clean Club unlimited-wash membership. The company has been majority-owned by private equity firm Golden Gate Capital since a December 2020 recapitalization, with founder Scott Blackstock continuing as CEO. It has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list five consecutive years and has donated over $8 million to charity through its annual Charity Day.
